Tropical cyclone Ivan has continued to intensify under excellent atmospheric and oceanic conditions. The storm will continue to head westsouthwest over the next 48 hours. Ivan will make landfall in northern Madagascar early tomorrow morning with sustained winds of around 120 knots. Following landfall, the cyclone will rapidly weaken and turn south.
